We signed a contract for land & property build in May 2001, assured at this point that upon completion all services & title deeds (escrituras) would be available. Building eventually began in January 2003, and was completed in October 2003, at which point we moved in. At that time we had no services but were connected to mains water within a few weeks.
We have been consistently lied to by our developer throughout the 5 plus years we have been dealing with him.
We still await connection to mains electricity and mains sewerage.
We have:
No road
No footpath
No street lights
No certificate of first habitation
No escritura for land or house, albeit all costs have been settled.
We pay basura bills (rubbish collection).
